We are looking for a full time Conveyancing Assistant to join our Bury St Edmunds office.

Description

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for administrative duties, client care letters and the legal process as directed by the fee earner
  • Managing email traffic and daily phone calls to clients, estate agents and other third parties
  • Carry out ID and compliance checks
  • Draft standard documentation and correspondence
  • Carry out Land Registry searches
  • Create and send mortgage reports/ contract reports
  • Requesting searches and management packs
  • Checking external portals for updates/ actions
  • Providing support in exchanging contracts and setting up of completions of the transaction
  • Post completion work 
 

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Strong administration skills, well organised and able to multi-task, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to organise own workload and adapt/prioritise as necessary
  • 'Can do' attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proactive with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Salary is dependent on experience.
